Our son’s whereabouts still unknown: Family Of IPOB Member Raises Alarm

The family of Livinus Ezinwanne Okoli, former Councillor, Ndiukwuenu, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State, and an Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, member, who was declared missing following his involvement in last year’s pro-Biafra protest and subsequent encounter with security agents, has said the whereabouts of their son is yet to be ascertained.
According to his wife, Mrs. Amara Ezinwanne Okoli, Livinus was last seen in Kano, Kano State in August 2016 where he was alleged to have been caught with a male partner, and narrowly escaped lynching from an angry mob. She said: “He has neither been heard from nor his whereabouts known since he was declared wanted by the Kano State sharia authority for having breached what the Islamists’ sharia law assumed a big sin against Islam and Allah.

“While I am not disputing the allegations against him, his safety and/or state of life is still unknown which matters most; as it is only him that we can actually tell what actually happened or went wrong.”
