Kazeem Alimi, a member representing Eti-Osa Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has passed on.
His death was confirmed in a statement released by Musbau Razak, the chief press secretary to Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Assembly.
The late lawmaker, who turned 50 two weeks ago, gave up the ghost at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
Alimi’s death comes barely four days to the Lagos State local government elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
He was elected into the Lagos House of Assembly as a member on August 8, 2015. Until his death, he was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
He is survived by a wife and children.
