Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on the Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola.
His call was necessitated by Ademola Adeleke’s victory in Saturday’s senatorial by-election in Osun West.
Adeleke polled a total of 97,480 votes, to defeat Hussain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 66,116 votes. Adeleke won nine out of the 10 local government areas where the election held.
Aregbesola had personally led the campaign for Hussain, touring all the local government areas with him.
Fani-Kayode claims that Aregbesola had vowed to resign if Adeleke won and has now asked him to fulfill his promise.
He tweeted on Sunday: “I will resign if Adeleke wins Osun West Senatorial bye-election”- Rauf Aregbesola.
“Adeleke has won. Shave off ur beard and RESIGN!”
