IN THE NAME OF OJUKWU: MY PLEA TO NNAMDI KANU OVER ANAMBRA STATE(MUST READ)

IN THE NAME OF OJUKWU: MY PLEA TO NNAMDI KANU OVER ANAMBRA STATE

Let me kindly start this article with a note; I do not know Nnamdi Kanu and neither do I know the governor of Anambra state. I am just a concerned citizen who aligns with reality; there is no need of making noise or fighting, no matter how much it pains, we must admit that there is now indigenous leadership that has overshadowed political leadership. I am a politician and a good one at that; if I fail to admit the truth; I am only deceiving myself.

Sit at home ordered by Nnamdi Kanu is a point of reference; some people opposed this, Bishops opposed it, Uwazurike opposed it, politicians opposed it but at the end of the day, we were not only disappointed but disgraced. The people stayed in their respective homes and it was a clear sign that there is acceptable leadership. We are opposed to that leadership; we fight that leadership but the leadership was naturally enthroned by the people and not politically enthroned.

I am forced to writing this article today because I came across a certain person shouting there must be election in Anambra state and I want to state it clearly to Nnamdi Kanu that politicians are not party to that, nobody knows anybody shouting there must be election in Anambra state. We all might not pledge loyalty to your leadership but people like us with common sense is aware of what you can do. If you shut down Eastern Nigeria; you can also shut down ordinary Anambra state; I believe you and I will never doubt that. You earned that status; you spent months in detention for the people, you took the risk and you gave your life.

I have looked around to see a point I can stand on and question your position but I saw none; should I tell the people to vote when I am certain they have been voting for over fifty years without any positive result. Will I tell them to vote when our leaders have disappointed us; there is no exception, elected leaders have failed woefully. Nigeria is a failed state and anybody that comes in is a failed leader; there is no hope in political leadership but APGA is a pride.

Election in our country Nigeria is a waste of time; I have been unable to differentiate between election and selection. I could remember when Peter Obi came in for APGA; the people massively voted APGA but election was substituted by selection and PDP took over Anambra state. It took misunderstanding among Anambra political gladiators to justify the election. There is nothing worth standing on to convince the people to vote so when the people see no-election as an opportunity to be free, they will pounce on it like hungry lion.

If leaders in eastern Nigeria behave like their counterparts; I don’t see a reason you won’t stand behind them pending when you give us Biafra. If they value their people; I don’t see how no-election will be raised but because they have failed, you are right and on a page with the people. When Nnamdi Kanu says no election and nobody that has not paid a single price for the people says there would be election; nobody is simply making the journey harder for us. We must admit that Nnamdi Kanu is simply doing what is right to saving our people because our political leaders could not save our people.

I could not sleep throughout last night; I was starring at Ojukwu’s portrait and I asked myself ‘What is left if APGA is finally taken away in existing Nigeria’. I plead to Nnamdi Kanu to look beyond the recklessness of politicians and our insensitivity. I plead to Nnamdi Kanu to look at the legacy of Ojukwu and allow that legacy to go on for a while before the dissolution of Nigeria. I only pray that Ojukwu be remembered with APGA until his ultimate legacy which is Biafra is achieved. I fully support no-election but let general election be the big deal.

I know how much you love and value Ojukwu whom you have always spoke highly of; I know how much you have carried everything Ojukwu left. I know how much you have suffered putting on that big shoe Ojukwu left behind and in the loving memory of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, I pray that you let Anambra state carry on with Ojukwu’s legacy. I pray that you disregard the failings of those that we elected but turned against us.

The ultimate legacy of Chukwuemeka Ojukwu is for Biafra to be a sovereign nation and even in death; he fights with you. I pray that Anambra state remain APGA and by that way; we still remember Ojukwu and see his portraits at every major cities.
