Nigerian Government has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari is in competent hands in London where he is undergoing treatment.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, gave the assurance on Wednesday while briefing State House reporters after the Federal Executive Council meeting chaired by Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
The minister was responding to a question on the status of the president’s health.
Lai Mohammed also assured that there was no cause for alarm.
“The president is in very competent hands and there is no cause for alarm,” the minister said.
President Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on May 7 for a follow-up consultation with his doctors.
His wife, Aisha, on Tuesday departed the shores of the country to see him.
Her media aide, Adebisi Olumide, said she “will spend some time with her Husband the President Muhammadu Buhari who is presently on medical vacation.
