Fourteen wives of the Southern governors under the aegis of Southern Governors Wives Forum have converged on Abeokuta, Ogun State , for a three-day meeting.
They all arrived the state capital on Wednesday.
Early Thursday morning, led by their chairperson, Mrs Nneoma Rochas Okorocha, wife of the Imo State governor, led the delegation to the governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s office at Oke Mosan, to pay him a courtesy call.
According to Mrs Okorocha, they are in the state for their 5th quarterly meeting.
But our correspondent gathered that they would also engage in women empowerment programme.
