President Muhammadu Buhari this Thursday afternoon, met with members of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum during the ongoing meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC).
President Buhari went round inside the Council Chambers to shake hands with all the governors in attendance.
It is not yet clear what exactly the president discussed with the governors as journalists were asked to leave.
This is Buhari’s first interaction with the state governors since his return to Nigeria last Friday from his medical vacation in London.
The National Economic Council, headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, is composed of the 36 state governors, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and relevant ministers.
