Christians, Muslim faithfuls pray for Buhari in Adamawa

Christian and Muslim faithfuls on Sunday gathered in large numbers to offer prayer for speedy recovery of ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.

The prayer sessions which were held simultaneously in various locations in Adamawa State, saw different groups engage in intersession for Buhari.

At the Diocesan Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria in Demsa, former Nigerian Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, lead prayers for divine intervention on the health of Mr. President.

He said, “We are all God’s children; this is the time our unity as a people will also be put to test. For me, the survival of the nation lies in our tolerance. If it is well with President Muhammadu Buhari, it will be well with our nation.

“So, we all need to come together, irrespective of our religion, to ask for divine intervention in the health of the President as well as his speedy recovery.”

The Adamawa State Governor, Muhammad Jibrilla, said every Nigerian needed to pray for Buhari as it was ordained in the Bible.

“I beg all of you in the name of God to respect and honour your leaders. So, let us pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari because that is what God commanded us concerning our leaders. We all voted for Buhari; we will also pray for him together,” he said.

The leader of BOA, Yaya Hammajulde, during the prayers, urged all Nigerians to pray for the ailing President.
