The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has vowed to deal with Boko Haram insurgents that have found a haven in the state.
He made the revelation at the seventh edition of the national security seminar in Abuja.
The governor warned that he would join forces with the military to rout out the insurgents from the state.
According to Bello, βKogi is now a haven for Boko Haram, because many of them have relocated to my state.
βJust last night, four high profile Boko Haram members were arrested in Kogi by the military.
βI want to assure them that they have chosen a wrong place to relocate, because we will never allow them.
βWe will work together with the armed forces to consolidate on the victory and gains recorded in the north-east.β
Bello commended the military for defeating the insurgents in the north-east.
He noted that the government had done a lot in safeguarding lives and property and in reclaiming the territorial integrity of the country from the shackles of insurgency.
