Patience Jonathan Suffers Another Setback In a Bid to Unfreeze $15m Account

Former first lady, Patience Jonathan’s bid to un-freeze the bank accounts she says belong to her, has hit a roadblock as a Federal court, sitting in Lagos, adjourns the suit filed by her to March 6.

Patience Jonathan is demanding $200 mllion in damages from the EFCC for freezing her accounts

The judge adjourned the case on the requests of some of the defence counsel representing companies linked to Mrs. Jonathan for more time to study the case.

Patience Jonathan had sued the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, demanding $200 million as damages, after the agency froze the bank accounts containing a total of $15 million.
