More kidnappers of 10 students and staff of the Nigerian Turkish International College, NTIC, Ogun State have been arrested by the Police Intelligence team led by ACP Abba Kyari with a sum of N3million recovered from them.
Two rough-looking men were nabbed by the police recently and paraded before journalists. It should be noted that the kidnap victims have since being released hale and hearty after a ransom was reportedly met by the parents of the victims and the leadership of the international school.
Four of the kidnappers numbering above 10 in total were arrested by the police and paraded on the 26th of January, 2016 with the security outfit pledging to smoke out the remaining members of the syndicate.
The kidnappers reportedly reduced their earlier request for N1.2 billion ransom for the release of the victims to N750 million.
The gunmen had earlier demanded for N50 million on each student, while N200 million was demanded as ransom on the Turkish Mathematics teacher, Miss Deria.
Vanguard reports that there was disagreement among parents of some of the victims over attempt to carry out individual ransom negotiations.
