Real Madrid Offers Benzema to Arsenal as Club Seeks Wenger's Replacement

Real Madrid have offered France forward Karim Benzema to both Arsenal and Chelsea, according to Diario Gol.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly frustrated with the 29-year-old, especially after fans booed the striker following their La Liga clash with Real Sociedad. Perez has informed both Premier League sides that he is willing to sell, while PSG are also in the hunt for the former Lyon man.

Arsenal are in talks with the representatives of Juventus coach Max Allegri, according to the Sunday Express.

Arsene Wenger is yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and the Italian could be in line to replace him at the end of the season.

United are said to be leading the race to sign the £85 million rated striker who was voted the third best in the world over the last year. Having made an initial approach to sign the France international in the summer, Arsenal are reportedly ready to match his release clause, though the Red Devils are expected to have the upper hand when it comes to wages.

Atletico Madrid are ready to offer Alexis Sanchez a route out of Arsenal as they line up a replacement for Antoine Griezmann, according to the Sun.

The Spaniards are prepared to hand the Chilean a deal worth £220,000 a week, significantly more than the £160,000 weekly on the table from the Gunners.

Manchester United are prepared to let Wayne Rooney move to China in a deal that will see him become the highest paid player in the world, Sunday Mirror reports.

Several Chinese Super League sides have shown they are prepared to offer Rooney an incredible £140 million deal, and Jose Mourinho has given it the nod. In the same vein, Wayne Rooney has decided to leave Manchester United this summer for a £1 million-a-week deal in China, according to the Sun.

The England striker is ready to depart in search of first-team football and amid a lack of offers from MLS, the Chinese Super League looks his most likely destination.
