Kano Pillars new signing, Isah Danladi, has expressed confidence that the four-time Nigerian champions are hot favourites to win the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, title in 2017.
The player joined Kano Pillars from Plateau United and having been part of the club’s pre-season activities, he has revealed that the squad will get the job done the coming season.
The Kano side finished a disappointing seventh on the NPFL log last season – 11 points behind winners Rangers of Enugu.
But Danladi told Goal, “I am happy here and i have been doing my best as we prepare for the new season. Kano Pillars is one of the biggest clubs in Nigeria. Four-time champions of the league, that’s huge.
“Though last season wasn’t too pleasant but I am very optimistic that 2017 season will be a fantastic year for us. Based on the quality i have seen here, I am very confident that we are hot favourite to be 2017 champions.
“We have just arrived Kaduna for the final the phase of our preseason activities and we shall only leave few days to our first league match at home in 2017.”
