Alamieyeseigha’s Burial : Ijaws rejects Nigerian flag, Use the Ijaw flag for funeral
Pictures from the funeral rites for the late former governor of Bayelsa state, DSP Alamieyeseigha confirms the heterogenity and belief of the dwindling values and unity of Nigeria. The Ijaw people in that part of Southern Nigeria strongly resisted the use of the Nigeria national flag for use in the just concluded burial. There is this belief that Nigeria is heading to a gradual collapse.
This is in view of the lingering agitation by the Biafra people. It could be recalled that Asari Dokubo, an Ijaw man has pledged allegiance in the Biafra fight against the Nigerian state.
