Iwuanyanwu tells Nigerian Government what Goodluck Jonathan deserves

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has called for a Nobel prize to be given to immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding victory in 2015.

Iwuanyanwu, a member, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said this on Saturday on the occasion of his 75th birthday anniversary.

He said that Jonathan’s sacrifice largely contributed to the peace being felt in the country today.

Speaking to the former President’s wife, Patience Jonathan who was one of the dignitaries at the event, Iwuanyanwu noted, “I want you to tell Jonathan that life is about up and down.

“Jonathan deserves a Nobel prize for accepting defeat in 2015” stressing that “Power will one day return to the PDP.”

Speaking further, the publisher of Champion Newspapers also said that the 1966 coup was not an Igbo agenda as circulated in some quarters.

He said it was the gallantry of the then General Officer Commanding, Nigerian Army, General Thompson Aguiyi Ironsi of blessed memory that made the coup less successful.

“The 1966 coup was not an Igbo coup contrary to what some people believe. It had members from other parts of the country.

“That coup failed because an Igbo man took up arms to arrest the plotters.

“That man was General Aguiyi Ironsi,” he stated.
