A large turnout of voters was recorded in Ikare, Akoko, the hometown of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant Engr Segun Abraham.
In Unit 04, Ward 1 in Isonopo, people turned out in their numbers to vote. The process was peaceful.
It was learnt that Engr Abraham was not in town.
When our correspondent visited his Ikare home, an aide said the APC chief was not in town.
“He is not in town and I don’t know if he is coming. He didn’t tell me if he was coming or not,” he said.
Abraham contested the APC primary but lost to Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) who emerged in controversial circumstances.
When our correspondent contacted Abraham on phone to get his observations, he did not pick his calls.
He, however, replied a text message requesting an interview, saying: “No comments please”.
