As the Ondo state gubernatorial election is underway across the 18 local government areas of Ondo state, Military men in their
hundreds are presently invading a polling units in Ode-Aye community in Okitipupa Local Government Area, intimidating and shooting at voters in an attempt to prevent them from voting With the event unfolding here, the military men are acting on the order of the Minister of State for Niger Delta, Prof Claudius Daramola, who had earlier invited them to his residence before they commenced their operation.
Earlier this morning, the Minister Prof, Claudius, with the military men were seen in a convoy locating and identifying each polling unit at Ode Aye, but was not sure of his motive until when they came for this attack.
Their is still sporadic shooting as at the time of filing this report as residents and voters are running for cover and all effort to reach the victims prove abortive….. Details later.
