Kanu Did Not Beg British Govt For His Release, It’s Their Duty – IPOB
THERE has being wrong connotation and interpretation attributed to the recent letter written by the legal counsel of the embattled Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the British Government reminding them of their duty and obligations toward their citizen Nnamdi Kanu who is currently being extrajudicially detained by the executive arm of government of Nigeria.
But unfortunately, he has apparently been neglected by the British government that should have stood up to fight for the rights of their law abiding citizen and give a halt to the injustice being meted on him (Kanu).
In recognition of all these negligence and lacuna in the side of the British government, Kanu’s legal counsel represented by Barr. Onowu Ifeanyi Ejiofor deemed it wise to officially write to them, to remind them of their responsibility and the travesty of justice being experienced in Kanu’s legal matter.
The letter was far from being a plea. Read letter HERE.
