Man Erroneously Got ₦1M Into His Account, Refused To Return It Despite ₦100k Offer

‎A man mistakenly credited ₦1 million to his Opay account has been apprehended by security operatives after refusing to refund the money.

‎The incident was shared by an X user, @yk-xiany, who disclosed that the incident occurred last month.

‎According to the X user, the company’s management offered the man ₦100,000 from the ₦1 million mistakenly credited to his account.

‎Despite the offer, the man insisted on not refunding the money.

‎Sharing how the man was caught @yk-xiany narrated, “He thought he could get away with the money but they where able to trace his recent calls to two numbers one was his mum the other his girlfriend the police traced the two numbers and were able to catch him”.

‎After being apprehended, it was discovered the man had used ₦300,000 from the money to purchase a phone.

Meanwhile, the man, whose identity remains unknown, is expected to refund the money and pay damages.
