I Will Work Against Peter Obi In 2027 Elections – Cubana Chief Priest

Pascal Okechukwu, celebrity socialite and businessman, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has said he will work against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 general election.

Cubana Chief Priest, who openly supported Obi during the 2023 polls, disclosed his new political stance on Instagram amid an online exchange with followers. The discussion was sparked by questions over his recent association with the pro-Tinubu β€œCity Boy Movement.”

When asked directly whether he intended to oppose Obi in the next election, he replied affirmatively, noting that he had previously campaigned for Obi while also serving as a special adviser to an APC governor.

His remarks attracted criticism from some users, who referenced his past encounters with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and suggested that aligning with the current administration might not protect him from scrutiny.

Responding, Cubana Chief Priest appeared dismissive, saying visits to the anti-graft agency were common among successful individuals.

The exchange later shifted to debates about the South-East’s political support during the 2023 election.

While some commenters argued that Obi could have performed better with stronger backing from influential figures in the region, Cubana Chief Priest pushed back, telling critics to support any candidate of their choice and questioning the tangible benefits such arguments had delivered to the South-East.
