The General Overseer of Light of the World International Church, Prophet Joshua Arogun has predicted that Governor Alex Otti of Abia state may be a one term governor if he fails to change his political party ahead of 2027 general elections.
Arogun revealed this in Lagos during Wednesday ministerial service. He said Mascot Uzor Kalu who recently declared for governor on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) may surprise Otti and win him on the Election Day.
He described his prophecy as one not driven by human emotions but of the spirit of God.
He said power is given by God and his primary duty as a prophet of God is to give the people the message he receives without alteration.
“ I do not know what everyone in that state wants but I can see a silent majority of the people preparing heavily to vote for Mascot Uzor Kalu and take over the state. I can see his large supporters and the heavy preparation that is ongoing. The incumbent Governor is popular but his current party will disappoint him. He will face the biggest embarrassment of his political life because he may not have party to contest with. If he must win he must make sure he changes his party and avoid running against Mascot Kalu . The two will do good as Governors but God gives power to whom He chooses.
On the controversy about claims of Christian Genocide in Nigeria by the United States, Prophet Arogun said Christians all over the world have always faced persecution. According to him , “ God recognizes the persecution of the church and his people. Christians in the North have suffered enough persecution and oppression and it’s only the hand of God that could energize America to act on this incessant killings of Christians . It only tells us that God has not forgotten his people and will never forget his people. He may allow it to happen for sometime but it won’t last forever.
God allowed President Tinubu to preside over the affairs of Nigeria because of times like this. He has what it takes to handle the situation and it could have created consequences if Tinubu was not the president. He will win again because God has given it to him.” He said
Prophet Joshua also prayed for Nigeria and the leadership asking for God’s guidance and will to be done.
Similarly, in his latest prophetic insight, renowned prophet and spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele suggested that Governor Alex Otti’s chances of re-election could face serious resistance if Mascot Uzor Kalu of All Progressives Congress (APC) is on the ballot
According to him, “In Abia State, if Mascot Uzor Kalu comes out for the 2027 governorship, then it’s going to be tough for Governor Alex Otti. It’s gonna be very tough,” the cleric stated.
He emphasized that the outcome would not necessarily be determined by incumbency but by strategy, momentum, and the weight of political identity.
“It all depends. If he [Mascot] knows his way, he can defeat Alex Otti. That name is strong, but you may not see it that way, either if you are a sitting governor or not,” Primate Ayodele added
