Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has retained eight members of his cabinet as he prepares to submit a fresh list of commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly following the lifting of emergency rule.
The retained officials include: Dr Tammy Danagogo (Secretary to the State Government), Ehie Edison (Chief of Staff), Dr Adaeze Oreh (Commissioner for Health), Joe Johnson (Commissioner for Information & Communication), Chisom Kenneth Gbali (Commissioner for Youth Development), Engr. Victor Kii (Commissioner for Agriculture), Charles Amadi (Commissioner for Chieftaincy & Community Affairs), and Christopher Green (Commissioner for Sports).
Governor Fubara’s move aims to stabilise governance while bringing in new nominees to reconstitute the executive council; the development follows the end of the emergency rule in the state.
