Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has received the 2025 Teachers’ Golden Award for Education and Teacher Friendliness from the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) during the World Teachers’ Day celebration at Eagle Square, Abuja.
The NUT honoured Fintiri, alongside Governors Dikko Radda (Katsina) and Nasir Idris (Kebbi), for their commitment to education and teachers’ welfare. The union praised Fintiri for his administration’s major investments in education and consistent support for teachers in Adamawa State.
At a reception held in his honour, state officials and party leaders lauded the governor’s leadership and reforms in the education sector.
In his remarks, Fintiri dedicated the award to teachers across Nigeria, describing them as “the true builders of the nation’s future,” and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing education as a foundation for growth and unity.
