Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has lashed out at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over comments suggesting he was “lucky” to have President Bola Tinubu as a tolerant leader despite his criticisms.
Wike, during the flag-off of the Arterial Road N1 construction in Wuye, Abuja, on Thursday, criticised Sowore for describing President Tinubu as a “criminal.”
Wike stated that Sowore should count himself fortunate to have a president who respects the rule of law.
Reacting via his verified X account, Sowore accused the FCT minister of gross misconduct, alleging corruption, land grabbing, and violence during his time in office.
“I heard that the FCT’s drunkard–murderer–landgrabber–thief minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him #TinubuIsACriminal,” Sowore wrote.
The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) further claimed that Wike lacked the moral standing to criticise anyone.
“Wike is a dedicated criminal. His day will come. His threatening me with assassination on behalf of Tinubu is nothing new.
