Senator Kalu Pens Heartfelt Condolence to IgbereTV Boss, James Emeh, Over Father's Death

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South East Development Commission (SEDC), Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (MON), has sent a formal letter of condolence to Mr. James Anya Emeh, the CEO of IgbereTV, following the passing of his father, Late Mr. Eme Udo Anya.

In the letter dated September 8, 2025, the former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North expressed his “deepest sympathies” to the entire Emeh and Anya family on the loss of their patriarch, who died at the age of 84.

Senator Kalu, who addressed James Emeh as “my dear brother,” acknowledged the profound sense of loss, describing the “tremendous heartache and anguish” as normal, while noting he could imagine “how challenging a time this must be for the Entire Ndi Anyalekwa Family.”

The distinguished senator encouraged the family to find solace in the deceased’s legacy. “As you grieve, please be comforted by his very notable legacies and lifetime accomplishments that will surely live on through his children, grandchildren and surviving family members,” part of the letter read.

The letter concluded with a prayer for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Eme Udo Anya, stating, “We join you also in paying our respects to him and pray that God in His infinite mercy grants his gentle soul eternal rest.”

Senator Kalu extended his condolences on behalf of his family and the entire people of Abia North Senatorial District, reaffirming his solidarity with the popular media entrepreneur and his family during their period of mourning.

The late Eme Udo Anya is scheduled to be laid to rest on September 19, 2025, at the Igbere Country Home of James Emeh, No1 IgbereTV Close, Off Elder Eunice Uzor Kalu Crescent, after the funeral rites in his hometown of Umuobasi, Amankalu Autonomous Community, Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
