The Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation has announced the successful departure of the 5th batch of participants in its Academic and Social Skills Program, organized in partnership with the Government of China.
According to the foundation, the three participants — all from Abia North Senatorial Zone — left Nigeria on Tuesday, September 16, and are expected to arrive in Beijing today, Wednesday, September 17.
The beneficiaries are:
1) Nnenna Anthonia Onoh – Arochukwu LGA
2) Kelechi Paul Uche – Bende LGA
3) Victor Chigozie Etie – Umunneochi LGA
The participants will attend a Senior Management Seminar on Marine Biodiversity Conservation for Developing Countries at the Fujian Institute of Oceanography, China.
In a statement, the foundation expressed optimism that the training will enhance collaboration, innovation, and productivity among young Nigerians.
“The Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation is deeply grateful to the Government of China for its continuous commitment to supporting skill development and innovation. President Xi Jinping, through Ambassador Yu Dunhai, has shown deep friendship with Nigeria by consistently sponsoring programs that promote capacity building,” the statement read.
Founder of the foundation and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, reiterated his commitment to initiatives that empower young people, improve their skills, and prepare them for global opportunities.
