Armed bandits have killed eight residents, with many injured, in Wake village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack took place in the early hours of Sunday.
Local reports indicate that the attackers abducted an unspecified number of villagers during the raid, while no fewer than 20 others sustained injuries, some in critical condition.
Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola confirmed the attack.
As of press time, the police had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
