Gov. Nwifuru’s Appointee, Emeka Nwonu In Trouble As Chats Against Nwifuru Leak Online

‎An aide to Governor Nwifuru of Ebonyi state, Emeka Nwonu is feared to be at risk of losing his job after a chat he had with Emmanuel Nwobo, a former Honourable Member of the Ebonyi State Legislature in 2017 was leaked.

‎Emeka Nwonu who was appointed the Executive Secretary Ebonyi State Local Government Staff Pension board had gotten into a fight with Nwobo on 2nd September, 2025, on the internet which led to the leaking of their 2023 chat.

‎Following his appointment, Nwonu had shared a post of Nwobo who had indirectly mocked him of having been appointed Economic Committee when Nwifuru’s tenure is already almost ended.

‎”Economic Committee at the end of a tenure, a tenure with a blue print before inauguration. Anyway, let’s pray for a better second tenure if it comes, this one?,” Nwobo had posted on his Facebook page.

‎Reacting to the post, Nwonu shared the post of his clan elder stating that he would not have made such post had he been appointed commissioner by the state governor.

‎He wrote; “If Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Nwobo were appointed a Commissioner by Gov. Francis Nwifuru, would he be saying all this crapola? The answer is capital NO,”

‎He further alleged that Nwobo would not criticize anything done by the current Government of the state if he was still in power.

‎According to him, “You mistakenly take all these self serving politicians as the mouth piece of the masses, they turned to critics because they are out of power, just angry because others are having the opportunity to taste the same power they have tasted for long.

‎”They had expected to be in every government, but it doesn’t work like that, sometimes. Public offices are not their inheritance. You condemn when you are out of it, and praise when you are in it. Who does that?

‎”Give Nwobo appointment today, and see him singing that the governor has changed, he will even take the jobs of the SA, New Media and Honourable Commissioner for Information and State Orientation respectively.”

‎Nwonu however, noted that power does not belong to one person and everyone who serves “must give way for us to come up.”

‎Describing the post as an unnecessary lamentation, the secretary maintained that Ebonyi State is on the rise under Gov. Nwifuru.

‎Reacting to the claim in the comment section of the post, Nwobo warned to concentrate.
‎Better concentrate !

‎He warned the secretary whom he said had known him operating in and out of power, to not push him to leak their chat where he criticized Nwifuru whom he now pledges loyalty.

‎Nwobo slammed Nwonu that “only disabled or less privileged people that will like to identify with power all through their life with no brake,” he added that Nwonu happens to be such a person.

‎”Concentrate and wait for the end of it all ..
‎You never liked Nwifuru and I can post a receipt on that …
‎Forget that you got the allocation of the less privileged people in nwifurus government,” Nwobo added.

‎He also advised Nwonu to not play with his appointment or risk losing it if he (Nwobo) shares a “receipt ” of their chats in the past.

‎Meanwhile, Nwonu dared his clan elder to leak the chat stating that he was not afraid of anything.

‎To that end, Nwobo would go ahead to share screenshots of his chat with Nwonu in 2023 before election campaign where he (Nwonu) expressed disgust over Nwifuru’s person stating that he was not fit for the office.

‎Now, while the war continues between the two clan brothers, netizens are worried that Nwonu is likely at the edge of losing his job.
