In a strong-worded statement addressing recent political developments, Chief Eme Ndubisi has dismissed ongoing media campaigns and criticisms against Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, describing them as “ranting and noise-making” by political jobbers and sycophants.
Speaking on the state of the 2027 senatorial race in Abia North, Chief Ndubisi asserted that the Senate seat is not up for sale and cannot be wrestled from its current occupant through propaganda or tribal politics.
“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu does not need to campaign; he has already done that through years of visible impact, service delivery, and grassroots empowerment,” Ndubisi said. “He has earned another term on the strength of merit and performance. Anyone banking on tribal sentiments or trying to use Ohafia as a launchpad to hijack the seat should simply go and rest.”
The elder statesman emphasized that politics is not child’s play and warned those seeking to unseat Kalu that they would have to contend with the “hearts and souls of Ndi Abia North,” who, according to him, have witnessed genuine transformation under Kalu’s leadership.
“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is deeply rooted in the hearts of his people. He has capacity, he has results, and he has the people’s mandate. Whenever we, as a people, decide it’s time for him to step aside, he will listen. But that time is not now,” he added.
Describing Kalu’s senatorial journey as a “divine mission,” Chief Ndubisi called on all detractors and opposition figures to “hold their peace” and allow the senator to complete his work without unnecessary distractions.
He concluded with a clear message: “All this media noise should stop. Politics is not for children. For now, let Senator Orji Uzor Kalu finish what he has started.”
