Kaduna State Governor Sacks Commissioner For Information

Kaduna State governor Uba Sani has removed Professor Muhammad Sani Bello from his position as Commissioner for Information and approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki as his successor.

The announcement was made on Tuesday through a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa.

Maiyaki, until his new appointment, served as the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).

No specific reason was disclosed for Professor Bello’s removal. The statement, however, recalled his previous service as the pioneer Commissioner for Education in the current administration before his redeployment to the Ministry of Information.

Governor Sani expressed appreciation for Bello’s contributions to the state and extended his best wishes for the future.
