Students of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), were left in shock after the sudden collapse of Pentagon Lodge in Izamgbo, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Just hours ago, a now-viral video captured a student standing outside, helplessly watching the building about to collapse. He could be heard lamenting, “My lodge is about to collapse and my television is still inside!”
At the time of filing this report, no injuries or loss of life have been reported.
The incident has raised serious concerns over the safety of student accommodations.
