Select players from Nigeria’s Super Falcons, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity, visited Gabriela Salgado, the injured winger of South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, at the Mohamed VI Hospital in Casablanca.
This gesture, occurring after a hard-f0ught b∆ttle on the field, exemplifies the true essence of sportsmanship.
The injury, a mid-shaft fracture of Salgado’s left leg, was sustained during the intense semi-final clash against Nigeria, effectively ending her season.
Recognizing the emotional and physical impact of the injury, the Super Falcons, spearheaded by their captain, Rasheedat Ajibade Mummy G.O, and including key players such as National girlfriend Michelle Alozie, Gifted hands Chiamaka Nnadozie, National asset Ashleigh Plumptre, and Ifeoma Onumonu, extended a hand of compassion.
