Dele Momodu
Dele Momodu has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP days after former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar dumped the party.
Momodu resigned from the party in a letter addressed to the chairman of PDP ward 4, Ihievbe, Owan East LGA, Edo State.
The politician who dumped PDP and joined the new coalition party, African Democratic Congress, ADC, said he dumped PDP because it was highjacked by antidemocratic forces, within and outside the party.
Momodu said he feels it is a honourable thing to dump the ‘carcass’ of the party to the antidemocratic forces and join the ADC.
Parts of the letter read:
“I wish to inform you of my decision to resign from our political party, PDP with immediate effects. Our party has unarguably highjacked by antidemocratic forces within and outside, in broad daylight.”
“It is, therefore, honourable thing to abandoned the carcass of the party to them while majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as African Democratic Congress, ADC.”
