The Coordinator of Ishielu Development Centre, Honourable Christopher Ogazi on Friday debunked reports of an alleged communal clash between Iyonu community and Ezza, describing the claim as fake news aimed at inciting fear among residents.
Hon. Ogazi’s reaction came in response to a report published on a Facebook page known as “Ezzagu Online,” which alleged growing tension along the Ezillo to Ezzagu axis over a purported conflict between Iyonu and Ezza.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Hon. Ogazi dismissed the report as fabricated, warning that it was a deliberate attempt to stir unrest in the area and said no such of a thing happened.
According to him, “I categorically debunk this report as entirely false and intended to cause unnecessary panic among residents and security agents are on top of the matter to fish out those behind the fake report.”
Hon. Ogazi further warned the public against sharing fake information, noting that spreading falsehoods is a criminal offense that will be met with the full weight of the law.
