Renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, was laid to rest on Tuesday evening in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The respected elder statesman, who died in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, last weekend, was buried at the historic Baqiyya Cemetery amidst an outpouring of prayers and tributes.
Before the burial, funeral prayers were held at the Prophet’s Mosque shortly after the Asr prayer.
The Janazah prayer drew hundreds of mourners, including a delegation from the Federal Government of Nigeria, family members, close associates, and well-wishers who came together to honour his memory and pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata was a towering figure in Nigeria’s business and philanthropic landscape, known for his remarkable contributions to commerce, education, healthcare, and community development.
Over the years, he consistently championed charitable causes, offering support to the less privileged and investing in projects aimed at uplifting communities across the country.
