Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has issued a bold statement to opposition parties, asserting that while their role in a democracy is to criticize the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is focused on delivery and governance.
Addressing the Senate Press Corps in Abuja, former governor Of Abia State Kalu emphasized that criticism is not a sign of weakness but a vital part of a healthy democracy. “The opposition must fight. That’s their job. But our job is to deliver, and we are doing our job perfectly well,” the former Senate Chief Whip said.
He insisted that APC’s accomplishments under President Tinubu will speak louder in the coming years, projecting that the President’s reforms will soon yield tangible benefits for everyday Nigerians. “In the coming years, Nigerians will appreciate what Mr. President is doing,” he added.
Kalu dismissed fears about opposition unity or alliances, saying APC has no reason to panic, describing the party as passionate about the country’s progress.
