Tinubu Might Attempt A 3rd Term – Lawyer Warns Nigerians

A lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju has alleged that there is the possibility that President Bola Tinubu might attempt to contest for a third tenure as president of Nigeria.Nigerian political art prints

Adeyanju, who decried incessant attacks and arrests of citizens including activists and celebrities said Nigerians have failed to see beyond the actions of the present administration.

In a post on X, the lawyer said by the time President Tinubu would make an attempt for a third tenure, nobody would have the capacity needed to stop him.

He wrote, “Tinubu is coming for everyone one by one, activists, artists, celebrities, etc but clowns who love praising politicians every 4yrs still think it all games and jokes.

“By the time he is done, nobody will have the guts to challenge him or his government. He might even attempt a 3rd term,” he added.

Adeyanju’s remark comes amid the controversy and outrage rocking the arrest and detention of an activist, Martins Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC in a statement said Otse was arrested over multiple petitions bordering on financial crimes against him.

The anti-graft agency also said that the arrest and detention of the activist followed several invitations to which Otse failed to honour.
