Why Labour Party Is In Its Dying Stage – Ozigbo Reveals

A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo has said that the Labour Party is in its dying stage.

A former member of the Labour Party, Ozigbo decamped to the APC in February ahead of the November 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

However, speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday, morning, said the Labour Party is becoming history and not what people think it is.

“LP is not exactly what people think they are seeing. I have made my case. Unfortunately, LP is almost in its dying days and over time people are going to see it.

“You can see how a lot of people are leaving the party. There is hardly any elected member of the party who I have spoken to that is intending to run his re-election campaign under the same platform.

“The Labour Party for me is in the past. I took a decision to go into APC not because I’m here to justify the actions of APC. I’m here as a catalyst for change, Ozigbo said.

The former governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra State also said that he joined the APC to drive change within the party.

He alleged that the crisis rocking the APC in Anambra State is sponsored by the incumbent governor of the state, Chukwuma Soludo.
