Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has strongly refuted claims made in a viral Facebook livestream aired on May 1, 2025, by Sandra C. Duru, describing the content as “entirely untrue and digitally manipulated.”
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that the voice attributed to her in the broadcast did not originate from any real interaction involving her, and was instead fabricated to serve the interests of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
“The content, including the so-called voice effect, is false and clearly doctored to push a narrative scripted by Akpabio,” she declared.
She also revealed fresh findings linking Sandra Duru to a past online identity, stating, “I have recently discovered that the person now parading as Sandra C. Duru is the same individual who once operated as ‘Prof. Mgbeke’ on Facebook.”
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan promised to release a detailed response to the “unfounded allegations” in the coming days, asserting that no amount of “media theatrics or digital falsehood” would deter her from standing for truth and justice.
