The Management of Gregory University Uturu is deeply saddened by the brutal murder of two Chinese expatriates and one policeman in Amaya Ndundu autonomous community, Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State.
In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by Sleek Ogwo, Deputy Registrar, Communication Gregory University Uturu strongly condemned the heinous act and urged security agencies to thoroughly investigate the crime, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice.
According to the statement “Addressing concerns about the safety of our students and staff, we assure the public, particularly parents and guardians, that the security of our university community remains our top priority. Given the significant distance between Ndundu and our location in Amaokwe Achara, Uturu, where the university is situated on a 100-hectare site, we are confident in the safety of our students and staff. Nevertheless, we continue to collaborate with relevant security agencies to ensure the security and well-being of the university community.”
“We appeal to everyone to remain calm and support the authorities in their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. This incident highlights the need for vigilance and cooperation between communities and security agencies to prevent such tragedies.”
