Rivers PDP Moves To Expel Wike, Gives Reasons

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has announced possible plans to either expel or suspend the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Robinson Ewor, the acting chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the PDP said Wike has been engaging in numerous anti-party activities.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 18, Ewor said Wike is currently serving in the present government and is 100 per cent loyal to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

His words, “Nyesom Wike is serving in the government of Ahmed Tinubu, there is no way his loyalty will be in PDP anymore. His loyalty 100 percent is in APC.

“What constitutes anti-party activity is if you take actions that bring the party to disrepute. That is anti-party activity. The FCT minister has taken several actions that have brought the PDP to disrepute,” Ewor said.

He further noted that having undermined the reputation of the PDP, necessary actions would be taken against the minister in order to redeem the integrity of the party.

Ewor assured the party loyal members that actions against the former governor of Rivers State would take place at the appropriate time.

“The party will take action at the appropriate time. You have organs of the party. We have the NEC, NWC, and the state executive committees. The party organs trickle down to the wards,” he added.
