Land Demarcation : Abaomege & Ishinkwo Communities Commend Gov. Nwifuru And Hon. Ogbofia For Transparency And Fairness (Photos)

The people of Abaomege and Ishinkwo communities have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, and the Executive Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area, Hon. Ikechukwu Ogbofia, for their transparency and fairness in the demarcation of the long-disputed land between the two communities.

In a statement made available to our correspondent on Tuesday by Comr. Echofe Oforbuike Victor, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Executive Chairman, Onicha LGA said the two esteemed traditional rulers, HRH Ezeogo J. Nnanna and HRH Ezeogo Ineke Augustine also applauded the Executive Chairman for his commitment to peace and unity in the region.

HRH Ezeogo J. Nnanna, the traditional ruler of Ishinkwo, extended his deep appreciation to Hon. Ikechukwu Ogbofia for his unwavering love and support for the people of Ishinkwo since assuming office.

He further stated that, following the successful demarcation, the people of Ishinkwo both home and abroad, have unanimously agreed to honor the Chairman with the chieftaincy title of “Ogbo Ogu 1 of Ishinkwo Kingdom” as a token of their gratitude for his efforts in fostering peace and development.

Furthermore, he commended the Chairman for his proactive intervention in resolving the recent dispute between Ishinkwo and Akpoha communities, emphasizing that his timely action prevented further escalation. He prayed for God’s continued protection and guidance upon him and his family.

HRH Ezeogo Ineke Augustine, the traditional ruler of Abaomege, highly appreciated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, for his bold step in ensuring the peaceful demarcation of the disputed land. He described the Governor’s love for human life and peaceful coexistence as “unparalleled and top-notch”, praying for God’s continuous blessings upon him.

He also lauded the Executive Chairman of Onicha LGA, Hon. Ikechukwu Ogbofia, for his facilitation of the demarcation process, which has finally brought an end to decades of conflict. According to him, with this significant achievement, the two communities can now “sleep with their two eyes closed, free from fear.” He further prayed that this newly established peace would serve as a catalyst for rapid development in both communities.

Speaking further, he expressed profound gratitude to the Chairman, stating:

“Ishinkwo and Abaomege owe you a special salute. Even before assuming office, you had consistently advocated for peace. Now, as the Executive Chairman of Onicha LGA, your proactive leadership has brought absolute peace to our communities. We are immensely grateful, Honorable Chairman.”

The people of Abaomege and Ishinkwo reaffirm their commitment to maintaining this peace and ensuring that the efforts of the government and local authorities are sustained for the prosperity of all.
