The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Omoba Ward 7 has suspended the lawmaker representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Rowland Ceaser, over his public commendation of Governor Alex Otti’s development strides.
In a suspension letter dated February 17, 2025, and addressed to the lawmaker, the party cited his support for Governor Otti as the reason for their decision.
The letter, signed by Ward Chairman, Mr. Ikechukwu Enemanna, and Ward Secretary, Mr. Ubani Munachimso, accused Hon. Ceaser of anti-party activities, stating:
“This decision was made based on your incessant anti-party activities. Recall that your attention was drawn to this issue last year, yet you failed to redress your steps and actions.”
The party further criticized him for allegedly endorsing the governor for a second term despite being a member of the opposition.
“There is no way you will be in our party and be supporting a governor that is not a member of our party to the extent of assuring him a second term,” the letter read.
Hon. Rowland Ceaser has yet to publicly respond to the suspension.
