“I Regret Campaigning For Tinubu, He Has Failed Nigerians” – Kano APC chieftain

A prominent Kano-based politician and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki Commander, has publicly expressed his regret for campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 general election.

In a telephone chat with Daily Trust, Commander stated that President Tinubu has failed to meet the expectations of many Nigerians who voted for him, based on current performance indicators.

“It pains me, but it is the truth and let the truth be told. I am an active member of APC, but I must admit that Nigeria’s administration under APC has failed Nigerians,” Commander said, adding that he had never regretted an action as much as he regrets campaigning for Tinubu.

He explained that he dedicated his time and resources to convincing people to vote for the party, and now feels he misled them.

Commander, identifying himself as a representative of the masses, also sought forgiveness from the public for promoting promises that the APC-led government has not delivered.

“Nigerians are hungry and angry. Their security [is] not guaranteed and governance [is] lopsided, they couldn’t afford two square meals per day,” he said.
