A Nigerian, Magnus Ukadike, has won a municipal election in Brazil, making history as the first Nigerian to contest unopposed and win an election in the South American country.
DAILY POST learnt that Ukadike was Director General of the ‘Obidient Movement’ in Brazil during Nigeria’s 2023 general elections.
This was made known by a Catholic missionary priest working in Brazil, Rev Fr Chinaka Justin Mbaeri, in a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
“History has been made! Magnus Nnachebe Ukadike, widely known as Magnus of Africa, has shattered records, becoming the first Nigerian to contest unopposed and win a municipal election in Brazil!” Mbaeri wrote.
The Catholic cleric stated that Ukadike was officially inaugurated as councillor in the Municipal Participatory Council of Itaquera Subprefeitura.
Mbaeri added that he will represent the entire immigrant community in São Paulo at the Subprefeitura level
