The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, held a private meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu just minutes before the President’s departure to France.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Emir, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Na’isa on Wednesday.
The meeting between Bayero and the President was about the recent tragedy that affected the people of Rimin Zakara in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Ado Bayero expressed his deep concern to the President over the distress faced by the community, highlighting the loss of lives, destruction of property, and injuries sustained by some individuals.
According to the statement, the President assured the Emir that all necessary steps would be taken to address the situation and ensure that the affected people are provided with shelter.
President Tinubu also expressed his sympathy to the Emir regarding the unfortunate incident affecting his people and commended him for his dedication and concern for the well-being of the people of Kano State
