Armed bandits executed a brutal attack on Nasarawa Gabas, a locality in the Dunkawa region of Sabon Birni Local Government Area in Sokoto State, pillaging food supplies and various valuable belongings from the homes of residents.
Eyewitnesses stated that during the late hours of Friday night, the assailant, wielding a rifle, approached various houses, compelling residents to surrender bags of food and other supplies.
Sources informed Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert in lake Chad region that the same bandit reportedly stayed overnight in the adjacent community of Idi.
Following the development, residents are worried about additional assaults in the region
