Minimum Wage: NYSC Members to Start Receiving N77,000

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been assured that they would soon start receiving N77,000 approved national minimum wage.

This was disclosed by the director-general of the NYSC, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed while commissioning a staff bus donated by Capital Express Insurance company on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Ahmed said plans have been put in place to ensure that the allowances of the corps members are concluded and pay as soon as possible.

The NYSC DG also assured the corps members that their security and welfare remain top on priority as he would ensure that all their benefits are duly paid.

Speaking on the donation made by Capital Express Insurance company, Ahmed said the bus scheme donated by the company is aimed at easing transportation of staff members.

In his address, Matthew Ogwezhi, the chief executive officer of the company said the NYSC and his company have been partners for some time.

According to Ogwezhi, the bus donation would serve as support for staff of the scheme especially with the increased fuel pump price which is challenging for several Nigerians.
