1). Birth details: Onwenu was born on 17th May 1952, in Arondizuogu, Imo State, Nigeria, to D.K Onwenu, a renowned educationist and politician. She lost her father in a car accident at a very young age, and her mother had to raise her and her four siblings alone.
2). Education: Onwenu attended Wellesley College of Massachusetts, USA, and The New School for Social Research in New York, where she obtained a BA in International Relations and Communication and a master’s degree in Media Studies, respectively.
3). Career: Onyeka Onwenu is a multi-talented artist who has made a name for herself in various fields. She started her career as a journalist working at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before moving on to music and acting.
