You Are A True Arise Ambassador, Gov Eno’s Aide Tells Spelling Bee Winner (Photos)

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Dr Essien Ndueso has commended little Miss Esther Ima John on her superlative performance at the recent National and Continental Spelling Bee Competitions, describing her as a true ARISE Ambassador.

Dr Ndueso made the commendation in his office at Government House while playing host to the Spelling Bee star and her Mother Mrs Uwem John.

According to him, “I’m glad to see how you’ve been raised as it has helped you to finish strong in your secondary school career.”

“You are eminently qualified to be described as a true Akwa Ibom ARISE ambassador, making your family, your State and indeed the country to be proud.

“I want to invite other young people to look towards emulating the you in making the State proud.

The aide to the Governor further said that such achievement complements Governor Umo Eno’s drive to build a great future for youths of the state to enable them become useful and responsible citizens in future.

“The Governor is working so hard for young people like you, in a society where people are more interested in secular life, you’ve caved a niche for yourself.

“I can tell you that the way you are starting, the sky will be your stepping stone,” he added.

He commended the mother of the award winner for diligently pursuing the academic success of her daughter.

“Governor Eno is building a future for the young people but he is also interested in enhancing the capacity of youths to prepare them for the future and that is why he is investing in modern model schools, teachers’ welfare and subventions to schools.

If you harness these attributes you have exhibited, your career as a medical doctor will prosper faster than anyone can imagine.”

Responding, the Spelling Bee Champion stated that she was selected to represent the country in Uganda after emerging ahead of others who also competed.

Also speaking, Mrs John, thanked the Governor’s aide for granting them audience in his office and further added that Esther who applied for Medicine and Surgery for her tertiary education scored a total of 281 during the JAMB Exams and hoped that she would be given admission in the tertiary institution to study Medicine and Surgery.

Esther John is a graduate of Deeper Life School,Uyo. Having won the National Spelling Bee Competition,she also represented Nigeria at continental spellings championship in Uganda where she took the 4th position.
